Vendors: Ceramiche di siena

Founded in the sixties by Giuseppe Gambarelli, the factory has been one of the first ceramic companies to convert its production plants to single-fired tiles, the Gambarelli group, thanks to a tenacious will and continuous development, has definitively asserted its leader position on most international markets.

The group, currently lead by the third generation of entrepreneurs, consists of four modern and efficient plants at Solignano (Modena) and at Buonconvento and Torrenieri (Siena).

Gambarelli ‘s manufacturing plants: offices and warehouse, total area 305.000 sqmt (of which 98.000 sqmt developed area). The annual tile production is about 6 millions sqmt, with a maximum capacity of 8 millions sqmt. 5 Trademarks: Gambarelli, Selene, Ceramiche di Siena, Kerital and the new brand Sole Mio.

Gambarelli production plants are fully automatic, robotic trans-pallets machines carry materials from one department to another; almost all kinds of operations are done automatically speeding up and optimizing the handling process.

Architects, builders big contractors, down to all the small final customers find their every single need met by a vast range of products: more than 400 items, a wide range of colors, wall and floor tiles in single and white monoporosa and porcelain stoneware, all marked by an elegant taste and the highest design.

The energy, skills and dynamism of the gambarelli group is confirmed by the success of the current 5 distributive centers worldwide (U.S.A., Far east, France and east Europe) and by over than 110 millions sqmt of tile sold all over the world during these years.

In the 2003 Gambarelli launched Oxygena the first anti-pollution tile. Oxygena is like no other tile, the only one which contains Titanium Dioxide, a precious element which reacts naturally to pollutants gas and degrades them, making them totally innocuous. In 2004, Oxygena’s success led to a joint venture with American Standard, a world leader for sanitary ware. The rapidly increasing demand for this new tile brought Gambarelli to acquire a troubled italian subsidiary of the same american standard (Torrenieri’s plant in Montalcino) allowing the reinstatement of all the 100 workers in less than one year.
