The history of the family De Maio is born two centuries ago , when Giovanni de Maio, original of Ogliara, begins to work the clay. Ogliara, historical place of the ceramics working, is 700’ village taken root to the slopes of the mount “Stella”, that it dominates the Gulf of Salerno, and the Coast of Amalfi. The raw materials for the production of the Neapolitan “Cotto” is the valuable clay of the quarry of Ogliara, worked by hand in the family factory, and cooked in the furnaces.
