Vendors: ABK Ceramica Campeginese

The ABK’s history starts in 1992 from the will and the dynamism of some partners, Michelangelo Fortuna and Andrea Guidorzi, that create a young and competitive industrial group. From the ashes of Edera, a tile company specialized in white body double fired tiles, grows up ABK S.r.l.

The official date of ABK birth is the 1995 with the acquisition of Ceramica Campeginese and its conversion in ABK. In 1999, with the first steps in the partnership of Roberto Fabbri, ABK Gres draws up a commercial agreement with Piemme S.p.a. and few months later acquires the Imoker tile company of Fiorano, an historical brand specialized in porcelain tile production. The group goes on consolidating and passes from a turnover of 23 millions of Euro in 1999 to a 44,3 millions in 2000. The climb is unceasing as its turnover and ABK GROUP becomes one of the most important Italian leaders in the ceramic world.

During the year 2000, ABK acquires the tile company Ariana of Castellarano in Reggio Emilia, (holder of the brand “Pierre Cardin”) which was passing through a difficult economic period. This acquisition allows the group to control also the Valverde tile company of Trento in 2005. From 2001 to 2005, the increasing turnover allows to create two different commercial branches: ABK and ARIANA/VALVERDE. In November 2007, ABK perfects the acquisition of the tile company Pisa/Flaviker, an historical brand with more than 2 millions of Euros turnover in 2006 and it completes the expansion of the group; with this acquisition ABK controls the 100% of the companies of Sir Tile of Solignano, endowing itself with a great industrial value and a strong competitive ability. This operation allows ABK to create three different operative realities: ABK, ARIANA/VALVERDE and FLAVIKER PISA that all together form a holding capable to adapt itself to the market exigencies and to understand the requirements of the customers and the ceramic products. This group can be positioned among the first ten Italian Ceramics Groups.

The ABK philosophy is centred on growth, training, innovation and on investments in research and image: all these leitmotivs allow ABK to be highly competitive, in the van of progress and enable to offer the customer an exclusive service creating a highly qualified product that follows the last trends and design. The choice to invest in technological innovations and scientific research is the base of ABK’s success that offers a special product characterized for a new sophisticated technology: “TRE Triplo Caricamento” (triple loading): intelligent, creative and flexible robots able to manufacture tiles similar to marbles and natural stones.

Investing on young and dynamic staff, ABK has created a flexible and competitive company where people are the heart of the project, the technology is its vehicle and trust its purpose. The following statistics is indicative: 54% of ABK employees are younger than 39 years old. ABK believes in young, dynamic and enterprising human capital with new ideas and new energy that is a key for a company growth.
